Spellwriting Studio
This is a handy tool for Dungeon Masters, Players, and Nerds alike who want to have written representations for their spells within Dungeons and Dragons!
This tool is made using the rules and dictionary values set out in The Spell Writing Guide written by The Gorilla Of Destiny and allows users to select values matching the desired spell and results in a completed spell circle that any aspiring wizard would be proud of!
(Even works in mobile! (O is back and X is select))
How to use:
- Use the arrow keys to navigate, up or right to increase in value and down or left to decrease
- Press X to confirm a selection or to advance, press Z to go back
- Advance through the configuration options to change how your completed circle appears with various color options as well as an adjustable size
- After configuring you will begin to construct your spell! These values are sorted alphabetically and follow the rules outlined in The Spell Writing Guide and Dictionary but the values for the spells themselves can be found from dnd spells and/or the 5eAPI
- Once you have matched the values to the desired spell you will be shown your completed spell circle!
- Done admiring your completed spell? Just press Z to return and make any changes or assemble a whole new spell!
There are more features planned for future development but this version is complete and capable of standing on it's own
✨ Now with printing!!!* ✨
NEW SPELL OPTION
You may now choose to enter a name for your spell to be displayed on the final page, letting you put a name to the face, so to speak.
To use this feature you must select to do so in the configuration options and a keypad will appear once you reach the end of the spell options.
Note, only the "Standard (11)" circle version is available at this time!
*Printing works after starting the program, only working on pc
